    Default [SOLVED] PC freezes - ZA Suite10.0.246 --> updated to latest version

    I am a user of ZA Internet Security Suite and I have a problem. Every so often my PC freezes (about once a day, sometimes more often, sometimes not at all). The problem typically starts as a program becoming unresponsive, but will quickly spread to all other programs and then Windows itself. Even the mouse pointer will freeze, Ctrt-Alt_Dlt will not work and finally any music playing will gradually die away as if a buffer is emptying. The only way out is to switch the computer off and on again, after which the machine will usually continue working for the rest of the day. I have not been able to find any pattern to it.
    Now this problem "seems" to have started occuring since I received the ZA 10 upgrade, although I cannot say for sure.
    I have used the windows Driver Verifier Manager, but this just causes Windows to blue-screen during bootup. I have used Windbg on the minidump and it is saying there is an issue with vsdatant.sys.
    I have attached the analysis below.
    Is it possible that the vsdatant issue could be causing my PC to freeze up?
    If not, should I be looking to resolve the vsdatant issue anyway and if so, how would I go about it?

    1. Download the latest ZA version <== Click here

    2. Remove you current version (in XP use add/remove programs)

    3. Remove other security tools installed. Use to double check no left overs are present.

    4. Clean your system and registry with

    5. Download to your desktop and run the ZA removal tool, reboot computer.

    6. Install the latest version without touching any default settings and try again.

    Thanks for the info given here. I have completely uninstalled ZA10 build 246 and installed build 250. I did this a week and a half ago and since then I've had no more problems. I'm definately putting the cause of this problem down to ZA 10 upgrade. This has also cured the problem with AV running after every reboot instead of weekly as would prefer.
