The following is my detail to the same problem.

I have used ZoneAlarm for many years with the automated Scheduled Scans and Product Update functions disabled, however keeping the Anti-virus Update enabled. I prefer to always manually execute my own scans. A while after I recently updated to the current version (10.0.250.000), I rechecked my customised settings - I discovered I cannot permanently disable these scans.

In the Scheduled Tasks window, I changed the Enable setting for each scan to Disable, click OK, and then close the ZoneAlarm window. My changed settings remain disabled when I reopen these windows to check, However, whenever exit (shut down) ZoneAlarm or reboot my computer, the Scan settings have all returned to Enable.

    ZoneAlarm Extreme Security version: 10.0.250.000
    vsmon version: 10.0.250.000
    Driver version: 10.0.250.000
    Anti-virus engine version: 8.1.8.79
Anti-virus signature DAT file version: 1049394496
    AntiSpam version: 6.3.1.4971
    ZoneAlarm Browser Security: 1.5.322.0
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Scanner: 1.5.53.235
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Anti-Phishing Database: 1.2.104.0
ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Sites Database: 04.155

I tried both of your Soft and Hard suggestions with no success. Any further suggestion, or must I contact your ZA Tecnical Support?

    Hi!

the response is already given above. You need to contact support and let them aware of the issue. You can play with "initial task" to keep ZA quite meanwhile waiting for a fix (if any).

    Thanks,

Thank you for your prompt response. I had thought my explicit detail might be enough additional information for a solution here. I will contact ZA Technical Support.

No problem! Since they may release soon a new version its important that they are made aware of potential problems on current version (they may be already) so that they can investigate it and fix them before releasing the new version.
