I have Avast anti virus. The problem is that I get a pop up saying that sf.bin is trying to access the internet. The IP address's vary from
Every time I tick the box and click allow always. It happens again the next day. Avast claim it is not their fault and say it is Zone Alarm that is the problem.
On checking Zone Alarm programs accept/deny list I see this.
C:\program files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs\11092801\Sf.bin
C:\program files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs\11092800\Sf.bin
C:\program files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs\11092601\Sf.bin
C:\program files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs\11092401\Sf.bin
C:\program files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs\11092400\Sf.bin
C:\program files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs\11092300\Sf.bin
C:\program files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs\11092200\Sf.bin
C:\program files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs\11092100\Sf.bin
C:\program files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs\11091901\Sf.bin
Each time Avast seems to delete a folder randomly created as a 8 digit number and create a new folder. I assume that Zone Alarm thinks this is a new software. I have had this SCREAMING email argument with them for over a month. They will keep saying it is not our fault go and talk to ZA.
They say that I should get ZA to restrict all
C:\program files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs\*
folders to stop the problem.
