    Unhappy [FIXED] Huge log file - keeps getting bigger --> Upgrade to 10.1.079.000

    There is a log file on my system, path and file name is:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\CheckPoint\ZoneAlarm\Logs\kave_1892.log

    This is currently 9,817,116,735 bytes (9.14 GB)

    This sucker is HUGE - and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger

    Why is it there, and why does it need to be so big?

    Is there any setting in ZoneAlarm where I can reduce the size of this file?

    This Forum exist to allow Volunteer experienced Zone Alarm Users to help the Few Users who encounter a problem with ZoneAlarm and need to be guided in the right direction..

    It is Sometimes very Difficult to Diagnose and fix a Computer from halfway across the Country, or around the World, without All the Details about your computer and Software that you failed to provide, without our ability to sit in front of your Computer monitor and see what's going on..
    It is normally Helpful when posting here to give full details of your computer setup.

    Give the Exact Type and version of Zone Alarm used, Windows Version used, What Browser type and Version, any other security tools installed.

    The More information you post the more likely users here will be able to understand the issue and try to help.

    also is this a DeskTop, Laptop computer or Netbook.

    Also best to report these type of issues directly to the official ZA technical support at the link in signature (look for the live chat link). We are all users here.

    vsmon version: 10.1.065.000
    Driver version: 10.1.065.000
    Anti-virus engine version: 8.1.8.79
    Anti-virus signature DAT file version: 1064603424
    AntiSpam version: 6.3.1.4971
    ZoneAlarm Browser Security: 1.5.350.0
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Scanner: 1.5.350.0
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Anti-Phishing Database: 1.2.104.0
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Sites Database: 04.155

    As far as using the live chat, I am unable to utilize that particular feature.

    I would like to submit a technical inquiry through other means, however no other means are available. (or none are apparent on the website)

    The size of the file: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\CheckPoint\ZoneAlarm\Logs\kave_1892.log

    is now 10,513,433,052 bytes (9.79 GB)

    And it keeps on growing...

    Then I am afraid you should look soon for another software you could benefit for the support you paid for since ZA support channels are only working with live chat.

    ZA staff does not monitor this board, we are all users here.

    Sorry, Live Chat is the Prefered method of contacting the Official ZA Support (Free of charge to users with a Valid License key).
