Does anyone know where ZA physically places (on the hard drive) the files that it quarantine's?

Sorry I don't know for the current version. Normally the files are encrypted and included in a single unreadable file.

You may want to check with ZA technical support and see if they have more information. Probably not.

Please let us know what you discover!

    Thanks Fax,

The reason I asked is that I had a file in Quarantine that I hadn't made a decision to delete yet. I had to "Clean uninstall" and reinstall ZAX (for about the 8th time in a month) in order to restore the Forcefield download function.

When I did this, the file was permanently deleted from it's previous location and is no longer available in ZAX (Quarantine).

I'll post back when I have more info.

There is no way to manually extract quarantined files. The files are isolated and encrypted.

Normally you should have been asked during the ZA uninstall process if you wanted to keep the quarantine or not. If you have not received this message then most likely the quarantined file was probably not anymore in the quarantine. False positives are automatically recovered and put back in the original place by ZA as soon as the determination is corrected.
