Default How can I remove Forcefield.exe without removing ZA Free

Good Afternoon Forum.. Please forgive my posting my question here. (I'm a newbie, and didn't know what to click, to start a new post.) I use XP, Explorer 8 and only have ZoneAlarm (free) and Norton's 360 installed. My question is this: How can I remove Forcefield.exe without removing Z.A. ? This Forcefield.exe is a true pain. I don't see it in the list for programs installed and therefore, cannot remove it from my Control Panel. It stops my pc from shutting down and is a file I don't want or need. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreicated. Thank you. Elena

It is part of ZA and I am not aware of an easy way to remove it. May be other users have better ideas or you can browse this board and find similar posts and proposed solutions.

Without removing ZA, i don't know. But I think forcefield is part of the defense net option so my advise is to re-install ZA without participating in the defense net.

No, sorry. That will not help. Forcefield in ZAfree is part of the ZA site check and phishing protection with or without toolbar.

I found another, more harmless opportunity to achieve the wanted goal.
You can disable forcefield by doing the following steps.
    1. cut internet
    2. exit ZA
    3. Stop process ISWSVC.exe via task manager
    4. go to settings -> control -> services and choose the service ZoneAlarmToolbar (propably the last one on the list). Set the status to "deactivate".

Now the toolbar and the anti-phishing feature is permanently deactivated (greyed-out in ZA).

If you want to activate it again, just exit ZA (cut internet before) and set the status of the service to "automatic". That should re-enable the ZA toolbar.
