Question [SOLVED] folder CheckPoint in C:\Program Files --> Main ZoneAlarm installation folder

I have recently installed v.10.1.065.000 and noticed a new folder CheckPoint in C:\Program Files.
Is this folder required and can I delete it? tia

Its the main ZA folder. Deleting that folder while running ZA will break the software and likely to compromise the ability to remove it.
Btw, ZA has just released an update (only manual so far) to version 10.1.79.000 that you find here:
    Looking for the latest version?

    Thumbs down Re: CheckPoint folder

    Thanks fax.
What a silly name (I don't mean fax!!) which has so many other connotations!! Why the change? Why not just call it ZoneAlarm then everybody would know what it is. I suppose there will be a perfectly convincing reason given.
Thanks for the new update info.

That's the name of the company owning ZA. Normal choice...
Now you know.... Don't delete it!

Unless there are other questions I will close this thread since the issue has been addressed. Do not hesitate to open a new thread for any other product related issues.

I have edited the thread title to reflect better the question and the answer.

    Thanks,
    Fax
