Angry ZAfree 10.1.065.000 "Update Now" option - Clarification

    Why not update your software?

    ZoneAlarm Free Firewall version: 10.1.065.000

    to

    ZoneAlarm Free Firewall version: 10.1.079.000

This option (Update Now) the What is a benefit?

This is normal and by design. Automatic update is turned ON only after weeks or months after release. This is to ensure a smooth updating of users and avoid any potential issue. You may want to wait for the official release of this build or others or update it manually if you want to.

Btw, this has been posted several times in here along several years. A search on the board could have saved you sometime.

    Thanks,

P.S. Revised the thread title to better hint to the actual question.

    When:
We are all users here, ZA staff does not monitor this board. We don't know when and if the automatic update will be turned on for this build.

    Why:
Up to you to judge if you want to update manually or wait. You can read what has changed in the latest build in the "release history" page, here: http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...seHistory.html

    Hi;

Here is some Additional information posted in the HELPFUL HINTS and LINKS section.

ZoneAlarm has traditionally NEVER given release dates for their products.

So we cannot give you a specific date.

Just set you software to automatically update and when ZA is ready to update your copy you will get an automated notification.

Checkpoint slowly update the user base (to prevent Over loading our Servers) so you may not get an update right away, even though some other users have.

Just be patient and you will get your update when we turn it on for your product and version your running.

How to turn on automatically update for Your ZoneAlarm Product:

    http://www.zonealarm.com/security/en...tm?cid=W100001

If you can't wait for the Notification, then Check Released History for Changes made to Zone Alarm :

If available Update your ZoneAlarm product now and stay ahead of the latest Internet threats.
