Exclamation Loading time of ZA tray Icon => Your PC does not meet our minimum system requirements

This may seem a silly question, but I would appreciate any relevant comments just to satisfy my curiosity.

I have ZA Free Firewall version 10.1.065.000 and am delighted with it. No problems since installation and it does it`s job perfect as far as I can tell.

    Question ?

When I first switch on my set, all my programs load as expected, some quicker than others, but no sweat.

ZA always loads last and takes a very long time to do so.

Is it normal for ZA to take such a time at start-up ? is there any way I can improve this loading time ?

    My system is :-

OS Version: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3, 32 bit
    Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) Dual Core Processor 5200B, x86 Family 15 Model 107 Stepping 2
    Processor Count: 2
    RAM: 447 Mb
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430, 256 Mb
    Hard Drives: C: Total - 78528 MB, Free - 57680 MB;
Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd., M61PME-S2P
Antivirus: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 2012, Updated: Yes, On-Demand Scanner: Enabled

    Hi!

and welcome back! Normally version 10 should be quite fast in booting. For sure faster than previous versions. There are no specific settings in ZA to boots the start-up.

The only way I could think of improving startup time is to clean up the booting sequence (removing unnecessary services and programs; see, for example, here) or even better, to add more RAM that in your case is really the minimum possible that I am sure will drop substantially as soon as you load the AV and the other basic MS services. With 1GIGA you should see some good improvements.

Btw, what you see loading very late is the GUI, the firewall driver is loaded even before you log-in.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Fax

Seeing that crazy load of security programs and Firefox-Addons in your signature, I'm not surprised about slow loading times of your applications if you have all of them running.

Your PC does not even meet our minimum system requirements so ALL bets are off as far as performance and stability of our software on your PC.
