    Default [SOLVED] Thunderbird 9.0.1 Blocked After Update

    Hi, having a slight problem. The other day, I updated to the newest version of Thunderbird (9.0.1) and ZA (ES version) started to immediately block it. I've tried reinstalling TB, removing it from ZA and then hoping it would renew itself in the Program Listings, but it's still blocked. Any help on unraveling this would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello!

    Right click the ZA icon near the clock --> About --> Copy --> Paste it in a reply here. Double check you are not also posting the license key!

    Is it XP? VISTA? WIN7? SP3 SP2 SP1 SPX?

    Try to post a screenshot of the application control section with the thuderbird settings in ZA?

    Also post log from ZA in which you see thunderbird been blocked?

    Read the following. Most commonly, the new version is not recognized by ZA. Paragraph 2 (following item 4) beginning with "If the previous instructions don't work,..." is usually the solution.

    Indeed this should be normally working, however the Mozilla KB need a refresh since its related to ZA version 9. Thats why I have asked for the version used. Depending on the ability of the OP to move around ZA this may be not a problem

    Well, you should follow what already suggested. BUT, considering you are running a very old version of ZA you should first remove it and install the latest version.

    1. Download the latest version to your desktop
    Looking for the latest version?

    2. Remove your current version (windows 7 control panel --> uninstall a program). REBOOT

    3. Install the latest version in point 1. Do not change any default settings.

    Test now...

    Now have the most recent version installed, but still blocked. Removed it once more, with it still blocked. Looks like a few other things are blocked as well. This is what's coming up:

    Why do you have all those akamai blocked? Your log seems weird. Did you install over the tope of the old? Or you removed the old and install the new? Do you have any specific settings applied to ZA? Restored any settings from previous versions? Do you connect via a router, modem, etc..? If yes, is your LAN set as TRUSTED? Can you post a screenshot of the ZA firewall zones? Can you post a screeshot of the application control settings for thunderbird? Is application control set to AUTO? If you turn OFF ZA application control does it work?

    What happens if you shutdown ZA (right click the ZA icon near the clock --> exit --> wait 1 minute)? Does it work?
