    Smile [SOLVED] Memory scan hangs and then I am unable to open programs==> Clean upgrade

    This just started last night. Everything working fine yesterday evening.
    This morning Zonealarm was stuck in scan mode and when I tried to close it it was frozen.
    Other programs would not start and although I don't have the message verbatim, the error was saying something about W32 not recognized.

    Here is my particulars.

    ZoneAlarm Extreme Security version: 10.0.250.000
    vsmon version: 10.1.079.000
    Driver version: 10.1.079.000
    Anti-virus engine version: 8.1.8.79
    Anti-virus signature DAT file version: 1077615200
    AntiSpam version: 6.3.1.4971
    ZoneAlarm Browser Security: 1.5.350.0
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Scanner: 1.5.53.235
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Anti-Phishing Database: 1.2.104.0
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Sites Database: 04.155

    Notice that ZESV is 10.0.250.000

    I am unable to connect with the upgrade server after renewing my subscrip and downloading the update. It got to 79% and then could not connect to the server and now it just hangs on 0% and won't start the download.

    Please click on the Support link in my Signature then click on the LIVE CHAT Link at the top Left side of the SUPPORT page and troubleshoot the issue with Technical Support.

    However, since you are using a very old version of Zone Alarm, they may ask you to Uninstall it and Upgrade to the Current version 10.1.079.000

    Thank you. I did as you said.
    I had already found the update and installed it since this morning so that part was done.
    Then all it required was a re-set to default. The problem was my TrueVector service apparently.
    I have scanned twice now with no further problems.

    This issue is solved.
