    Default Security Scan Schedule/Timing

    Greetings from Nashville!

    Where do I find the settings for Zone Alarm Security Scan scheduling? I'm getting fairly annoyed w. seemingly random timing for performing scans and the concurrent serous performance hit my systems take. They seem to fall through-out my work-day when I need my systems to be performing at their best.

    Version used? When posting here is essential you provide minimum information about the version used, other security software running and OS.

    I would suggest you remove your current version and install the latest version been just released. Do no import any ZA settings, start clean and check if you still have the issue.

    Thanks, but here's what I see:

    Compputer > Anti-Virus Settings > Advanced Settings:
    Scan Modes
    Scan Options
    Scan Target
    On-Access
    Exceptions
    View Quarantine
    Behavioral Scan

    Nothing there at all about scheduling (that I could see).

    I have checked Tools > Scheduled Tasks. Nothing there about Security Scans. AV Quick is set to Weekly; AV Normal is set to monthly; AV Deep is set to yearly. AV Update is set to hourly.

    Choose "Tools" --> Scheduling...

    Update to the latest version before.
    There is a scheduling problem in the previous version thats why you see ZA scanning at each boot!

    Fully remove your current version before installing the new.

    This problem is still plaguing me. Zone Alarm continues to pick REALLY bad times to do Security Scans and, because it seems to be a resource hog, REALLY bogs my computers. There has got to be a way to stop Z.A. from doing s Security Scan every time I boot...as I boot...

    I am afraid its time you contact the official ZA technical support (all users here) at the link in my signature (look for the live chat icon). The service is free for registered users. Explain what you did and what you are experiencing and follow their suggestions.

    They may need to collect logs, just keep following with them even if what suggested has not resolved the issue. So it can be escalated to development.

    Let us know if you find a solution. It may help other users reading here
