    Default [SOLVED] AV Scans at startup & cannot get update fix

    Running the following:
    ZoneAlarm with Anti-virus version: 10.1.079.000
    ZoneAlarm license key: NEVER POST your ZA License Key in a Public Forum where 1000's can see compromise it.
    vsmon version: 10.1.079.000
    Driver version: 10.1.079.000
    Anti-virus engine version: 8.1.8.79
    Anti-virus signature DAT file version: 1081302240
    ZoneAlarm Browser Security: 1.5.350.0
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Scanner: 1.5.53.235
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Anti-Phishing Database: 1.2.104.0
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Sites Database: 04.155

    Previous post of 7Mar12 indicated an update from within the Client would install a hot fix and ask for a reboot. Every update I try just updates the AV files. How do I get this hot fix?

    Footnote : If you have not seen the request for Reboot, then you need to Click Update in the ZA client program to get the patch.Upper right hand of the Zone Alarm GUI.

    NONE of the updates within the ZA client would give me the hot fix. All just provided the AV updates. I contacted ZA Tech Spt and they provided links to an uninstall executable and a reinstall executable. So far all seems well.

    check your About file if you have the Following then you have the Fix installed..

    I only got the startup scan the day after the scheduled weekly scan ran. It has not performed a startup scan since. It is not time for any other scheduled scan so it could have not been those scans..it was a quick scan. I am waiting to see if it happens again after the next weekly scan before contacting tech support.
