Arrow [NON-ISSUE WITH ZA] New ZA FreeFirewall+Antivirus gives false positives

After installing ZA FreeFirewall+Antivirus version 10.2.047/000 I ran a virus scan. Results below appear all to be false positives:
    firefox.com .pif .exe
    winlogon.exe
    iexplore.exe
    mbamchameleon.com .pif .exe (malwarebytes non-running)
    rundll.exe
    svchost.exe

If you run scan with auto resolve you run the risk of either quaranteeing or deleting the "offending" items....oooops!!

My solution: I disabled the Antivirus portion of ZA leaving Firewall and Identity & Data active...and re-installing third party av app.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    Hi!

You need to seek confirmation from Kaspersky directly. Some of them (rundll.exe and svchost.exe) don't seem to be false positives otherwise your PC will not work at all, they are essential files for your OS. Unless those files are not in windows directories.

Please see here below how to deal with false positives and reporting them to Kaspersky. No need to reinstall application, They will not be deleted but sent to quarantine.
How to diagnose and/or report antivirus/antispyware false positives

Only Kaspersky can confirm if they are false positives or not. And please remember that no report, no fix

    Thanks,

We have alerted Dev and QA to this claim.

They are testing it right now with the same apps, Firefox and malwarebytes.

Will update in a few minutes with the Official results.

We have finished testing on all supported OS's. All systems tested had the latest version of ZA Free AV and latest AV definitions. Also the latest version of Firefox and malware bytes was installed.

We did both quick scan and full scan with archive files.
During any of the AV none of the files were ever detected as a virus nor any false positives.

Here is the version info and definition file version we tested under.
ZoneAlarm Free Antivirus + Firewall version: 10.2.047.000
    vsmon version: 10.2.047.000
    Driver version: 10.2.047.000
    Antivirus engine version: 8.2.11.97
Antivirus signature DAT file version: 1085679904
    Web Identity Protections version: 1.5.388.0

We suspect this is an issue only with your PC Mariod. Maybe you not running the latest versions as we are. Maybe you have another AV or security software on your PC that conflicting and giving these false positives to ZA. Could be many different things and impossible to know what exactly

But Its confirmed its not an issue with ZA or our AV.
