    Unhappy vsmon.exe memory usage

    why does vsmon.exe have to consume over 250 Mbytes if memory? This is over 25% of the physical RAM in my machine and the response is very slow indeed.

    Hi!

    sorry this is by design and should not cause problems unless you don't have enough memory in the system or running too many application at the same time. Please note the ZA requirements, here:

    Exclamation Re: vsmon.exe memory usage

    My machine has 1 G ram, 2 GHz cycle speed, 160Gbyte hard drive, and runs very slow with vsmon using over 25% of the memory available. This is with only two apps running! FF and TB. It seems that there is no release, or drawback on vsmon when it no longer has a wo0rkload. If you say this is by design, I think the design should be re-examined.

    Sorry, probably ZAfree+AV does not like your setup/machine. Nothing we can fix on this board (we all users here).

    Sorry again,

    Hello;

    have you read any of the Sticky Post at the TOP of this Forum section?

    some of these post may be relevant to your issue?

    Sticky: [SOLVED] ZA 10.1: High RAM/CPU usage / vsmon -> page-file.sys and hiberfil.sys issues

    Re: "vsmon" using 40-50% of the CPU all the time

    Running applications that keep a constant internet connection open will create extra cycles to be used for ZA. Your basically constantly pushing data through ZA that it has to analyze so there will be more resources used and 50% and more is not unusual with these types of applications.

    Its always been this way with ZA its just how the ZA core technology works and it nothing that can be changed or fixed because its working as designed.

    Best advise don't run these kinds of apps all the time.
