Thread: Trojan.Android.OS.Plangdon.a ?

    Question Trojan.Android.OS.Plangdon.a ?

    ZoneAlarm started a virus scan at ~19:00 PDT last night, and is reporting that it has found and treated Trojan.Android.OS.Plangdon.a in a whole bunch of files. These files have been on this Windows XP computer for months! Why is it griping now? This trojan has been documented since February, and many of these files are copies (made by GoodSync) at various dates from February through August. Plangdon is not a virus.

    Likely a false positive by the ZA antivirus. First ensure you are on the latest version of ZA (10.2.XXX.000) as several antivirus engine changes has happen as compared to version 10.0 or 10.2. Remove your old version, install the new.

    Warning: if your license is expired then ZA will not install or several features may be disabled (e.g. antivirus updates).

    Next time just review the sticky posts or search the board as it is likely you will find a post about your problem as the one above.
