    Default Windows 7 Error 127 for ZAES 10.2.74.0 install

    I'm trying to install ES 10.2.74.0 but it won't install. I get Error 127 message. I have uninstalled the previous version and used ZA Clean. I had to go back to 10.1.79.0

    I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

    Any ideas?

    Hello;

    Try this proceedure that works for many other users..

    Follow these instructions Below to clean your computer of the old version and any conflicting 3rd party Security programs, then install a clean new copy of the current supported version of ZA 10.2.074.000

    The instruction for a clean install are below,

    1. Download the latest version http://www.zonealarm.com/security/en...download-b.htm
    <== click here

    2. Remove your current ZA version (in XP use Windows add/remove programs)

    3. Remove other security tools installed. Use http://www.appremover.com/ to double check no left overs are present.

    4. Clean your system and registry with the Free Ccleaner.exe
    http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/slim <= click here

    5. Download to your desktop and run the ZA removal tool, <= click here
    now reboot computer after running ZA Removal tool.

    6. Now Install the latest ZA version without touching any default settings,
    and Do Not Restore Saved Settings from the old install.

    Let us know how you have managed to resolve the issue. It will help other users with the same problem.

    After doing your process several times, I was finally able to install ZAES 10.2.74.0; the most recent is 10.2.78.0 but it did not load.

    Here is the hung app info:

    Please Give the Exact Type and version of Zone Alarm used, Windows Version & SP Update used, Browser type and version, any other security tools installed, is this a Desktop, Laptop, Netbook?

    Also, include what steps that you have taken to try to resolve the issue..

    The More information you post the more likely Tech Support will be able to understand the issue and try to help.
