Default Configuring ZA to allow VPN to connect

I'm using Mullvad VPN to connect to the internet; however, I have recently installed ZoneAlarm Extreme Security and the firewall is blocking it. Any tips or suggestions in order to allow my VPN client to connect? Thanks!

Default Re: Configuring ZA to allow VPN to connect

If your using PPTP type of connection with the Mullvad VPN service that will not work with ZoneAlarm. Any PPTP type of VPN connection with any vendor will not work. Its a known issue with ZoneAlarm

Mullvad VPN has an option of using an OpenVPN client from what I have read on the internet.

As long as there version of the OpenVPN client is not too highly modified it should work just fine with ZoneAlarm in its default settings from installation. ZA Default setting will allow ZoneAlarm to detect and properly configure itself when Open VPN is installed and ran.
