Exclamation How do I turn this STARTUP ALERT off?> It can't be turned off

    Hi,

In the last couple of days everytime I start up my PC, after loading the desktop, I get this message box....

"ZoneAlarm needs to check with the ZoneAlarm Servers for updated junk mail blocking rules and techniques.

You are currently not connected to the Internet. Would you like to connect to the Internet now?"

This must have been added into one of the recent updates. I have never seen it before. I need to find a setting to turn this off.

I run a portable USB type modem with my computer that I turn on and off when needed.
I'm running: ZoneAlarm Extreme Security under XP (SP3)

I would like to turn off this irritating alert box that appears after every startup. Is there a Setting to uncheck? Any suggestion?

    Thank you in advance,
    Mr.T

    Hello,

This is not new. ZA needs to talk to our servers for various reasons, this being one of them.

You could turn off the junk mail option in ZA. That might stop the alert.

If it does not then there are no other ways to turn it off, sorry.

Incorrect. This Alert is new. In all the years I have used ZoneAlarm AND on this very machine, I have NEVER seen this Alert upon Startup before.

I have not changed any settings, just installed your updates.

    Now...Why?

(You say "our servers" so I presume you're from ZoneAlarm. I don't think it is enough to say to a customer, "You could turn off the junk mail option in ZA"......without giving more detailed instructions on where exactly to find your solution to just "turn off the junk mail")
