Angry 2 warnings from ZoneAlarm - What do they mean and what do I do? <Contact DELL

For the last week or so, I've been getting 2 pop-up warnings from ZoneAlarm. (I've copied them below my message).

Each pop-up has buttons for "Allow" and "Deny" and, of course, I've been clicking
Deny. There's also a checkbox to remember my selection, and it's checked ... but it's not remembering my selection!

I've googled and there are lots of other people getting these
messages too, but the replies/solutions go right over my head because they're too techy for me to understand.

The only program I have installed recently was Malwarebytes. I uninstalled it, thinking maybe it was causing these pop-ups, but they're still happening.

Should I accept these 2 warnings? Or are they bad news? If they're bad news, what can I do about them? Thanks for explaining this in English so I can understand it. Thanks!! :-)

    Here are the warning messages:

Assuming you are free of viruses or malware and that you are using a good security tool then most likely you are experiencing ZA broken settings.

Two option (option 2 should be the preferred).

    1. Reset the ZA settings in ZA tools --> Preferences --> Reset to default --> Reboot the PC

    2. Start clean by removing ZAfree and install the latest version you find here:
    http://www.zonealarm.com/security/en...tall-steps.htm

(yes, ZA autoupdate only warn users of major updates)

    Thanks,

Smile Re: 2 warnings from ZoneAlarm - What do they mean and what do I do?

Sorry, guess I never came back here to read your answer. Found this forum again because I was getting the same ZoneAlarm warning (it did go away at some point, or maybe I just allowed it, I don't remember).

So I just now uninstalled ZA, rebooted, then reinstalled ZA.

Now ... if anyone wants to help with a WiFi issue that the Dell techs can't figure out. I have the extended warranty, but I'm seriously beginning to think they're just throwing things at my laptop to see what sticks ... 2 WiFi cards and 1 motherboard in the last 10 days. And yes, I know this is a ZA forum. LOL!

Sorry, this is a user forum to support on common ZA product related issues we can't help on other issues. You may want to try in other support forums like http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/. You have to choose the forum section that is m ore closely linked to your problem.

    Thanks,

Well to rule out ZA as the problem with your wifi issue.

Uninstall ZA and see if the wifi issue persists or not.

I think dell has a user forum of there own. That would be a good place to start on the hardware issue.

I've got an extended warranty from Dell. It's their problem. :-)
