Default Free Anti-Virus/Firewall unable to stop/clear Trojans

    4/23/2013

About 3 weeks ago, while doing a antivirus scan, ZoneAlarm found a couple of Trojan viruses. It SAID it removed. I re-scanned, and there more Trojan viruses. After trying several things, including scanning with other products, almost every scan had 1 or more Trojan viruses. Not always the same name. Trojan=PSW.Win32.xxxx, Trojan-Spy.HTML.xxxx, etc. . I finally restored a 9 month old image. That appeared to work for about 1 week then the Trojan viruses started reappearing. They always appear in C:\Documents and Settings\LandHSystems3\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles.
Is there anything that can stop these and truly clean once and for all?
