    I see ZoneAlarm Security Suite version: 11.0.780.000 was released to the public on Aug 21, 2013. I clicked the "See Changes" link, and all it said was "Improved: Antivirus detection." Does that mean I wonder that they haven't BOTHERED to fix the VPN problem??? Has anyone tried this new version yet?

    No the VPN issue has not been addressed yet.

    No ETA when it will be sorry.

    Question 11.0.768.000 breaks my VPN connections?

    What's the ETA on this fix? Is this something you guys are working on at the present time? It's been a while since the last release and this bug still persists in the latest version of ZA Extreme Security (11.0.780.000) and I assume others.

    Here is some Additional information:

    Here is a possible solution to speed up the time it may take to find a fix for the VPN issue..

    Users with VPN issues need to participate and test the 2014 Beta 3 - 12.0.020.000 Available now and use the FEEDBACK option in the Beta to report issues directly to Development Team so things have a Greater chance of being fixed in the 2014 version.

    Tried the latest Beta version (120_020_000)on two separate Windows XP machines. VPN is no go. Still not working. Same issue as current and previous version. Won't go in detail about error message it's the same and already well documented in other threads.

    It does not matter how well documented is it on the forum you MUST report it in the same FULL detail via the feedback option in the beta product.

    NOBODY from development is going to come looking here for info on your issue.

    Beta is a seperate project and if you dont take the time and report it in FULL detail to development then there is no hope it will ever be addressed and fixed ever.

    Default ZoneAlarm Blocks L2TP and PPTP VPN Connections on Latest Versions

    I am currently using version 10.1.79.0 of ZA Internet Security Suite. I have no problems connecting to my VPN server. I recently updated to version 12.0.104. I could no longer get a connection to my VPN server. When I try to connect, I get error messages such as "the modem or other device is not responding" or "the port is already in use" or "the security authentication did not complete because it timed out" (something similar, I don't remember the exact wording). I made sure the ports were open. I added the VPN servers to the trusted zone. Even if I stopped ZoneAlarm by right clicking on the icon and clicking on exit (I made sure the processes for zatray and vsmon both ended) and I stopped the ZA Privacy (something) service and disabled it. I still had the same problem with the port errors. The only way to get rid of the errors was to uninstall the program. I also tried a copy of version 11 which I had downloaded but not installed, and I had the same problems.
    Based on the fact that only uninstalling the program would fix the problem, it would appear that the installer is making some other changes to the operating system (WinXP Pro SP3).
    Does anyone know what changes are made to the registry or what other system files are changed during the installation? This has to be the solution to the problem.

    Still known issue in version 12.0.104.000

    Still no ETA when it will be fixed.

    Sorry for the not so good news again.

    There are no workarounds and support cannot help you with this issue.
