Angry Rosetta Stone compatibility bug issue

On April 15 2013 the moderator wrote: Only known workaround is to shutdown ZoneAlarm when you wish to use Rosetta Stone. I tried that and it still did not work. Any other suggestions?
Just to be sure I did it right.... I went to the system tray and right clicked the icon and hit exit. I then tried to run Rosetta Stone TOTALe. I got the same error. thanks

    Hi!

could you please clarify the exact version of ZA used has this problem may appear in old versions of ZA but since April many things have changed.

Right Click the ZA icon near the clock --> about --> Copy to Clipboard --> Paste it here as a response. REMEMBER to remove your license key, if present.

Also clarify which OS you are using and web browser and any other security tools installed even if disabled.

    Thanks,
    Fax

There is a compatibility bug with Rosetta stone and is a known issue.

Our support dept is not able to make it work at all nor can help you if you contact them about this issue.

We have no ETA when or if it will be fixed.

Another option you can try when you want to use Rosetta stone is to open ZA, click on Tools, Preferences and un-check the box to load at startup.

Then shutdown and reboot your PC. Now ZA will not load and you should be able to use Rosetta stone.

The one possible Workaround is to try the Forum Moderators Sugestion:

Another option you can try when you want to use Rosetta stone is to open ZA, click on Tools, Preferences and un-check the box to load Zone Alarm at startup.

Then shutdown and reboot your PC. Now ZA will not load (at PC Startup) and you should be able to use Rosetta stone.
