    Default Misidentifies Clipmate

Clipmate is an clipboard utility I have been using for years. It is essential for the effective use of windows: I am using Windows 7 Pro SP 1.

Zone Alarm just identified Clipmate as a infected with a virus and deleted it. I further ran Clipmate uninstall, rebooted, and downloaded a fresh install file from their website. When I ran the install file ZoneAlarm interrupted the process and deleted the Clipmate.exe file with a warning it was a virus.

I am unable to find a 'white list' in Zone Alarm to prevent this unwanted behavior.

In the meantime I am unable to install my most essential utility.

    Please help.

Given a choice, I will uninstall ZoneAlarm before I uninstall Clipmate. I am sending a copy of this to Clipmate.

We just tested and there is no false positive detected at all.

We have ZAAV latest version with updated virus database installed and downloaded and installed and ran Clipmate version 7.5.26 build 136

We had no issues at all and it worked great.

SO that means your running and old version of ZA, and/or your AV is not up to date and your using old virus definition files.

So Update ZA to latest version 11.0.780.000 and update the Antivirus defintions Dat file to version 11278830432 or GREATER.

There will be no issues then.

Again there is ABSOLUTELY no issues with ZA antivirus saying Clipmate has a virus at all.
