    Default [Solved] Secure Speed Dial > removed Junkware

    Son tried out a Windows Defrag Program called SmartDefrag2 by Iobit Software. Seems all the products install a product called Secure Speed Dial which can not be removed. ZA ISS deep scan produced nothing.

    Anyone have any ideas for removing this thing ?

    1.) Remove look for and Remove the program using Windows (in XP use Windows add/remove programs- Windows 7 or 8 use Start/control Panel/ Uninstall a program)

    2.) Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware

    3.) after you clean up your computer here is a Free Defrag program from a reliable source take a look at this:

    Had full software list but it exceeded message character limit

    =============================================
    Zone Aalrm / Version
    As indicated in original post, its ZA ISS (Internet Security Suite) 11.0.780.000

    =================================================

    Suggestions:

    1. The program does not appear under Windows Program Uninstaller

    2. The Program does not appear under 3rd party Winows Uninstallers

    3. I depend on Zone Alarm to keep the system clean.

    I have piroform (both CCleaner and Defraggler) but every once and a while we like to try something different ..... SmartDefrag2 was the top rated program on download.com

    ================================================== =====

    OK with that out of the way ..... this is what I have done to remove.

    1. Disable the Secure Speed Dial Service using services.msc
    2. Delete the Secure Speed Dial Program Folder
    3. Run CCleaner to manually delete all registry enties related to Secure Speed Dial

    Don't know if I got it all ..... but that's as far as I have gotten. passing it on, hoping 1) that is someone knows more than me, I can get the rest and 2) ZA adds a removal script if it detects the presence of this junkware.
