Default Trusted Zones in FREE AV + FW

I am curious to understand if I am incorrectly setting up the "trusted zones" for specific websites?

I am unable to reach a safe website via IE v8.x, FF v24.x, Opera v16.x, Google v26.x, Safari v5.x for the following:

    Zone: Trusted
    Host name: -www.projectHIRE.net-
    Description: Project Hire
    IP: 165.173.223.0
    ======
    Zone: Trusted
    Host name: -http://projecthire.net/-
    Description: Project Hire
    IP: 66.152.109.110

Do I have something set up incorrectly? I am using a very trusty Win XP SP3 system and ONLY the ZA AV + FW package:

ZoneAlarm Free Antivirus + Firewall version: 11.0.768.000
    Vsmon version: 11.0.768.000
    Driver version: 11.0.768.000
    Antivirus engine version: 8.3.1.6
Antivirus signature DAT file version: 1127914368

    Thanks!
    -Scott

eeehm, no. Trusted zone is not for websites but networks/PC/printers/sharing directly or indirectly. Check the online help file (ZA help --> help)

So, you are trying to say that you cannot reach those website? If you shutdown ZA can you connect to them?

    Thanks,

    Oddly, no.

If I snooze the FW for 5 minutes and try to access the site with IE 8, it just "spins" and eventually cannot reach the site / page.

I am now using ZA AV+FW (free):
ZoneAlarm Free Antivirus + Firewall version: 11.0.780.000
    Vsmon version: 11.0.780.000
    Driver version: 11.0.780.000
    Antivirus engine version: 8.3.1.6
Antivirus signature DAT file version: 1129103072

    -www.projecthire.net- (fails to connect)
    -http://projecthire.net- (fails to connect)

I even try Opera, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, AOL Desktop 9.7 - none of them will connect to the site / page. But if I go to the unemployment office, open the exact SAME email and click on the link *poof* I am connected almost immediately.

I am using a desktop PC with a direct wire connect to my router.
IE 8 Tools >> Security settings:
    - Security, Internet Zone is medium high
    - Security, Local Zone is medium low
    - Security, Trusted is medium
    >> nothing listed under sites for projecthire.net
    - Security, Restricted is High
    >> nothing listed under sites for projecthire.net

    So I am really confused.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi!

Sounds like your ZA settings may be corrupted. Try to reset them.
Go to ZA tool --> Preferences --> Reset to defaults.
    Reboot the PC

    Now try again.

    Any better?

If not, go to the ZA antivirus section --> Advanced settings and UNcheck the web scanning. Now?
