Default Zone Alarm Blocking Website > Disabling "Enable Web Scanning" resolves the problem

    Hi,

I'm having a problem with Zone Alarm block a website. I believe it's a false positive.

The site in question is -www.ett.ca-

The site comes up clean on Sucuri. -http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/www.ett.ca-

Disabling "Enable Web Scanning" resolves the problem.

    Thanks,

    Intrepidtron

The instructions you linked to are specific to files. Are there different instructions for reporting a false positive on a website?

    No. The same.
Btw, the reported site seems clean. See here:
    https://www.virustotal.com/en/url/1c...is/1382859017/

Note that ZA uses Kaspersky as Antivirus. Kaspersky does not recognise this as a thread. Therefore your AV signature seems outdated. Updated it.

In case you have still problems then please post exact details of your version: Right click the ZA icon near the clock --> Copy to clipboard --> paste it here (remove license if applicable).

Next paste a screenshot of the warning.

Can you post the message your receive of the blocking? Screenshot?
ZA does not block this site therefore it is a local issue with your PC/ZA.

What is possible is that due to other reasons (adware, spyware, viruses), you are actually redirected to another website while trying to reach that website. I would closely check for malware check this thread:

including up to post your log at bleepingcomputer.com or spywarehammer.com

    Thanks,

Thre is no problems at all accessing www.ett.ca with Web Scan enabled.

If Web Scan was blocking it then Everyone would be blocked and not just your PC.

    Hi,

There is no redirection. The site just doesn't load. Turning off web scanning, or completely turning off Zone Alarm, fixes the problem instantaneously, in all browsers.

So, just for clarification, you're saying that you have not encountered this problem when running tests on multiple machines with Zone Alarm installed?

It seems rather odd that this problem would be specific to my machine. If this was happening with multiple sites, I could buy the spyware/malware angle.

    Thanks,

    Int
