Thread: Blue screen crash after update

  1. #1

    Default Blue screen crash after update

    I had a new exe. file update for my ZA antivirus/firewall versio 12.0.104.00 driver version 11.0.764.000

    since i updated any time my PC trys to go into sleep mode or i try to put it in to sleep mode it crashes to a blue screen BSOD

    using this diagnostic tool
    http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...eshooting.html

    it points to the cause being a driver used BY ZA

    anu ideas how to stop this please

    Well, it is possible that vsmon (true vector service) conflicts with something within your OS but not very likely, because then many other users would report problems.

    The first thing I would do is remove ZA completely and perform a fresh & clean installation.

    Make sure you download the correct version and only download from here, don't go on 3rd party sites. Untick the check boxes and press below on "skip all offers" to avoid having search engine and startup page changed.

    Hello;

    It is Sometimes very Difficult to Diagnose and fix a Computer from halfway across the Country, without All the Details, without the ability to sit in front of your Computer monitor and see what's going on..

    We also Assume: that your Vista Computer meets the Minimum System Requirements for Zone Alarm:

    Microsoft Windows Vista SP2 Business / Home Premium / Ultimate:

    • 32-bit / 64-bit, 2 GB RAM
    • 2 GHz or faster processor
    • 250MB of available hard-disk space

    BSOD Errors are usually caused by User Error, Conflict with too many other Security Software installed, Conflict with Hardware or Proprietary Vender Drivers on some Brands of computers, or trying to install on OLD copy of 64bit Windows Vista/Windows7that have not been Fully updated with latest Microsoft Updates and Latest Service Pack..?

    A.) Make sure Windows Vista is fully updated with SP2 plus all additional Microsoft Updates,

    then Try this Zone Alarm clean up procedure..

    1. Download the latest ZA 12 version http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc/...10&action=view
    <== click here

    2. Remove your current ZA version (in XP use Windows add/remove programs/Windows 7/8 Uninstall a program)

    3. Remove other security tools installed. Use http://www.appremover.com/ to double check no left overs are present.

    4. Clean your system and registry with the Free Ccleaner.exe
    free ccleaner <= click here

    5. Download to your desktop and run the ZA removal tool, <= click here
    now reboot computer after running ZA Removal tool.

    6. Now Install the latest ZA version without touching any default settings, and Do Not Restore Saved Settings from the old install.

    Let us know how you have managed to resolve the issue. It will help other users with the same problem.
