Thumbs up [SOLVED] ZISS blocking streaming java connection >disable the ZA web scanner

I use a stock market Level 2 servce for live trade data provided by that is being blocked from connecting by ZISS. This happens with both XP and W7. The java applet runs and the data screen appears but the connection back to the server is being blocked. As soon as I disable ZISS it works. Any suggestions please ? Both test machines are running the latest release .104.00

Welcome to the Zone Alarm User Forum..

This Zone Alarm Forum exist to allow Volunteer experienced Zone Alarm Users to help the Few Users who encounter a problem with Zone Alarm and need to be guided in the right direction to answer Questions about Zone Alarm..

It would help if you had read a few of the Post near the top of the Configuration Topic are..

Help me fix a java ZASS compatability issue at <= click here

ZoneAlarm has had an on and off history of incompatibles with Stock trading programs for years.

Unfortunately due to the uniqueness of the stock apps and the fact we cant test such apps without trading accounts and such it is not likely we will be able to fix this

But you should keep trying ZA configurations, security levels turning off features. You may find a combination that works with your stock app.

Maybe the stock app has a user forum, where other users talk about issues with the app and someone else has experience with ZA.

Its worth a shot because chances are no one here will have the same app nor does support.

Try to disable the ZA web scanner (advanced setting of the ZA antivirus section) that is the only element that could potentially block java loading. Reboot of the PC will be necessary.

You are a star! That has fixed it. I think this should be made a sticky as I can't believe there aren't many people with Java issues who can find no reference to doing what you have advised to cure them.

Thank you again! It is apprecated.
