Default Bluescreen after install upon OS start

    Hi!

I have installed ZA free Antivirus and Firewall. After the reset, OS launches with a blue screen with amppal.sys details.

I would attach the dump file of the BSOD, but it says it is invalid file upon upload.

I suspect the Intel Centrino Wireless Bluetooth 3.0 got screwed by this install.

I there any preceding problem with this service?

Sorry all users here and ZAfree offers no official support.
Looks like you have a problem with the centrino drivers. Best would be to update or re-install those drivers. See for example here:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/...w7itproinstall

Probably a coincidence as ZA has nothing to do with Bluetooth drivers.

You have to to check for the right driver at Intel website:

    Hi fax!

Thank you for your fast reply!

I would like to summarize how I managed to resolve the problem -indeed, reinstalling that particular SW Intel Centrino Wireless Bluetooth High Speed 3.0 (later on referenced as blabla). Though, I didn't kept the ZA free version either.

It was my friends laptop. Who is not so tech-savy, and I did not had belief in the ZA that will keep stability further, when I will out of reach.

    • Disabling the specific service through msconfig (the blabla) does not prevents its initialization on OS startup, thus BSOD.
    • Uninstalling ZA first (with clean uninstall) doesn't resolves the problem either, this particular blabla apppal.sys remains bugged further.
    • Only way is to reinstall this blabla SW.

I advise for novice troubleshooters (such as myself) to use a bluescreen reader to trace back the exact driver causing the headache.
