    Default Why does Deny not working for SRSPanel_64.exe?

    The following program is always popup all day long, even through I click deny with Remember this setting, it still does not work, and I have checked the Firewall setting for SRS Control Panel as shown below:
    SmartDefense : Custom
    Tust Level : 2 bars
    Outbound Trusted : Ask, I set Deny, but I don't know why it resets to Ask
    Outbound Internet : Ask, I se Deny, but I don't know why it resets to Ask

    Does anyone have any suggetions?

    Overview

    srspanel_64.exe has 8 known versions, the most recent one is 1, 7, 22, 0. srspanel_64.exe is run as a standard windows process with the logged in user's account privileges. During installation, a run registry key for all users is added that will cause the program to run each time any user logs on to Windows. The average file size is about 2.07 MB. It is an authenticode code-signed executable issued to SRS Labs by the certification authority VeriSign.

    This is a .NET Common Language Runtime (CLR) assembly. During the process's lifecycle, the typical CPU resource utilization is about 0.0009% including both foreground and background operations, the average private memory consumption is about 14.2 MB with the maximum memory reaching around 17.15 MB. Addionally, typically read and write I/O disk operations is about 11.03 KB per minute for reads and 55 Bytes per minute for writes.



    Exact version of OS used? XP SP?, Windows 7 SP?. Windows 8?8.1?
    is this a Localized version? or English version?
    is your Windows OS Fully updated including latest .NET ?

    Other security programs running on the PC? Laptop? Netbook?


    Since when you are experiencing the problem? Did ZA ever worked correctly?

    More information you post more likely other users here will be able to help and suggest potential remedial actions.

    Exact version of OS used? Windows 7 Home SP1
    this is a Localized version
    Windows OS is Fully updated including latest .NET 4.5.1

    There is no other security programs running on the notebook.


    Since when you are experiencing the problem? Did ZA ever worked correctly? I just test ZA recently.

    More information you post more likely other users here will be able to help and suggest potential remedial actions.

    Even I select trust with remembering this action, it still pop up next time.
    Do you have any suggestions on how to set trust? so I would not get any pop up any more.

    This normally means that your ZA databases (where settings are stored) are corrupted and need a reset.

    Go to ZA tools --> Preferences --> reset to default (and do not restore any previously saved settings)

    After the reset see here:
    [SOLVED] Zone alarm ignores deny list

    on how to customize access permissions on trusted programs that you want to block at any cost.

    It will create a lot of unnecessary prompts and any mistake in permissions can render your system unstable. Not the ideal way to use ZA but up to you to follow this route.
