    Default Version 13 and NTI Backup

    Just what I need. We did the "free upgrade" yesterday and now both computers BSOD when the NTI Backup starts. Any one else have this, or is this another "do a clean uninstall and reinstall Za" fix?

    Hi!

    if you do not want to follow the clean install route then please contact directly the ZA technical support at the link in my signature (look for the live chat icon once at the main ZA support site). We can't really collect specific logs or have a deep troubleshooting here as we are all users

    I am afraid that ZA support may ask you to clean install to isolate the problem. Also consider that if the backup software is not widely used or business oriented it may be unlikely to be fixed any time soon.

    But please address directly official support and come back here if you manage to solve the issue (other than removing ZA or install the old version). It may help other users browsing this forum with the same problem.

    I ended up doing clean installs of both ZA and NTI, ZA first and the same result,BSOD trying to run the backup software. Something in ZA that NTI doesn't like. I'll chase this down and report back.

    I sent NTI support a dmp file and did the customary clean install of the backup software. The dmp file names the ntidrvr.sys as the cause, but they believe it really caused by a ZA file, same as me, since bsod started at the ZA update. A version comparison check of the ZA files would narrow it down. Have any of the listed ZA files turned up with other problems?

    After spending too much time with Live Chat tech support, my issue with my NTI backup software and ZA v13 remains unresolved. The inability to send support a dump file just tells me to find another av/fw program.
