    Default Zone Alarm search engine hijacked my browser

    How does one disable ZA from hijacking the search engine page set up as the home page. I want to use duckduckgo.com as my home page in Firefox and have set it as so in Firefox, however when I open a new browser window the Zone Alarm search engine screen comes up. How can I disable ZA from doing that?

    Oh, by the way, I don't have the problem above happen if I have google as my home page. Is the problem that I am having related to the fact that the duckduckgo.com search engine does NOT track what a person may look up when using their search engine?

    Hello;

    Right click the ZA icon near the clock --> About --> Copy to Clipboard --> Paste in a reply here. Mind to remove the license key (if applicable).

    Exact version of OS used? XP SP3? Windows 7 SP? Windows 8? 8.1?

    Other security Programs running on the desktop PC? Laptop? Netbook?

    I use Windows 7 Pro on a desktop computer and use the free version of Zone Alarm. No other security programs are in use on the desktop.

    Sorry you take that Attitude..

    The software is provided for Free. A lot of very expensive dollars go into developing Free security software. So in exchange for Free software we require the changing of the Browsers homepage and or browser search provider along with a toolbar. Doing this provides a small amount of revenue to us.

    Were not getting rich off this nor does it pay for all development of Free versions but it helps so that we can continue to offer Free firewall and AV solutions to the public.

    the Thread is closed to prevent further abuse..
