Default Getting "Registry file still in use" errors in my event log > Zonealarm is working OK

I am constantly (every few hours) getting the below error in my "Application" event log - why?

Windows detected your registry file is still in use by other applications or services. The file will be unloaded now. The applications or services that hold your registry file may not function properly afterwards.

This is a normal event thats posted in the events log.
ZoneAlarm does not see this as any problem or bug.
Zonealarm is working as designed and thats all.

Default CORRECTION: Getting "Registry file still in use" errors in my event log

My original post was closed with an inaccurate answer, so I am posting it again with the correct result - here is my original post:

    -----------------------------
I am constantly (every few hours) getting the below error in my "Application" event log - why?

Windows detected your registry file is still in use by other applications or services. The file will be unloaded now. The applications or services that hold your registry file may not function properly afterwards.

    ----------------------------------

Upon researching this more, I found this official description of the error code:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947238

    This is what Microsoft says:

"Event ID 1530 is logged as a Warning event. The application that is listed in the event detail is leaving the registry handle open and should be investigated."

The key part is "and should be investigated".

Specifically, it means that the ZoneAlarm app has opened a few registry keys, but forgot to close them (it's keeping them open by mistake).

Even though it may appear to not cause any problems right away for users of zonealarm, this is a "leak" that shouldn't be happening and needs to be fixed. Period.

Not fixing it is like playing russian roulette with your registry and could one day cause registry corruption if it just happens to occur at the wrong possible time.

Sorry already answered above... please do not double post.
This is not by mistake but intended or by design.

    Thanks,

I will repeat one last time on this topic of errors generated by ZA in the Event log.

ZoneAlarm by design and function produces errors in the Event logs. It has done this for many many years.

Development says its normal and does not affect ZoneAlarm the PC or performance. They are nothing to worry about.

If your opinion is different than ours and you don't want this to happen on your PC you may need to evaluate other security software that fits your own personal specific specifications and needs on your PC.
