    Hello;
    this may be related to a Corrupt, incomplete install of Zone Alarm,

    Or this could be related to a Conflict with other Security programs installed..

    The More information that you post the more likely other users here will be able to help and suggest potential remedial actions..

    Try this safe clean up proceedure..

    Follow these instructions Below to clean your computer of the old version and any conflicting 3rd party Security programs, then install a clean new copy of the current supported version of ZA 13.1.211.000

    The instruction for a clean install are below

    1. Download the latest ZA 13.1 (2015) version http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc/...10&action=view
    <== click here

    2. Remove your current ZA version (in XP use Windows add/remove programs/Windows 7/8 Uninstall a program)

    3. Remove other security tools installed. Use http://www.appremover.com/ to double check no left overs are present.

    4. Clean your system and registry with the Free Ccleaner.exe
    free ccleaner <= click here

    5. Download to your desktop and run the ZA removal tool, <= click here
    now reboot computer after running ZA Removal tool.

    6. Now Install the latest ZA version without touching any default settings, and Do Not Restore Saved Settings from the old install.

    Let us know how you have managed to resolve the issue. It will help other users with the same problem.

    NOTE:

    Also, Microsoft support for XP will END April 8, 2014 so its probably time to upgrade the system to Windows 7 SP1 or 8.1x
    Desktop XP operating systems Latest service pack End of mainstream support End of extended support

    yes, I have seen this before. For undetermined reasons and only in certain cases not all the required SP3 components are existing in declared SP3 installations.

    The only way to solve it is to install fresh the system again with SP3, if you can't do or don't want to do it then I am afraid you will not be able to use ZA.

    In any case, running ZA on SP3 will very quickly provide little additional protection as XP is not anymore mantained by Microsoft.
