    Default [SOLVED] Antivirus Update --> Problem with the OS

    Hello,

    Been having trouble with the update on the software. I manually click the update, but i get the following error:

    Antivirus/Anti-spyware update : Error
    Produt update : Error

    My verison is

    ZoneAlarm with Antivirus version: 13.0.208.000
    ZoneAlarm license key:
    Vsmon version: 13.0.208.0
    Driver version: 13.0.70.0
    Antivirus engine version: 8.3.3.9
    Antivirus signature DAT file version: 1153910016

    This is from a fresh install. I did upgrade to 13.2, but this was a problem before this. I have fresh installed 13.2 and 13.0, but nothing.

    I am running Windows 7 64BIT

    Is there a page on the zonealarm site that shows the latest DAT file version?

    Hoping someone can help.

    P.S. On a side note, if i ever get the image capcha to work, it will be a miracle! Anyone else struggle lol?

    Welcome to the Zone Alarm User Forum..

    B.) Click this link.. https://www.zonealarm.com/forums/sho...ptcha-not-good

    C.) First login as the Administrator account.

    Then uninstall ZA from the control panel >> Programs and features.

    After its been uninstalled shutdown and reboot PC. Log back in on the Administrator account.

    Then download this utility and SAVE it to the desktop and then run it from the desktop. http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...load/clean.exe

    After this utility runs it will reboot your PC. make sure to log back in to the PC on the Administrator account.

    Now download and SAVE to the desktop this version of ZoneAlarm Free Firewall.
    (You do not need to install the latest version in this case)


    Install this version.


    ZoneAlarm Free Antivirus +Firewall - Click Here to Download (209MB) Click Here for Release History

    Thanks for the reply. I have tried the steps you suggested, but the software still won't update. Its now showing:

    ZoneAlarm Free Antivirus + Firewall version: 13.1.211.000
    Vsmon version: 13.1.211.0
    Driver version: 13.1.123.0
    Antivirus engine version: 8.3.4.4
    Antivirus signature DAT file version: 1148332736

    Anyother ideas please? I am about due a clean install of Windows 7, so hopefully that will sort it!

    Possibly there is something wrong with the system and proxy settings. If you are going to reinstall windows anyway then not worth doing other troubleshooting.

    Just remember:

    - Remove ZA before reinstalling windows 7
    - Fully update windows 7 (SPs + all patches) before reinstalling ZA.

    Hi.

    Just installed Windows 7 on a new HD. The update now works, so something was wrong within windows, but not sure where! Oh well, at least its sorted!
