    Default suspicious window box on startup

    Dear All,
    I have just loaded free all 3 Zonealarm on my Win XPv3 for the first time.
    when ZA browser comes up there is a Box [like a popup Ad] it says "Repair windows errors" and lots of points to download. I have not done this as run is spelt ren.
    Appears to say by systweak.
    What is this and how did it get past ZA and more importantly am I infected or ??
    Simple answer please I'm getting on a bit and been using XP for to long.
    Any help appreciated.
    Regards Mabel

    Hello;

    Welcome to the Zone Alarm User Forum..

    The More information you post more likely other users here will be able to help and suggest potential remedial actions.

    1.) is Windows XP Fully upgraded with Microsoft SP3 and several 100 other MS Updates after SP3 update?

    Last updated: May 2013

    Every Windows product has a lifecycle. The lifecycle begins when a product is released and ends when it's no longer supported or sold. Knowing key dates in this lifecycle helps you make informed decisions about when to upgrade or make other changes to your software.
    Here are the rights and limits of the Windows lifecycle.

    End of support refers to the date when Microsoft no longer provides automatic fixes, updates, or online technical assistance.
    This is the time to make sure you have the latest available service pack installed.

    Without Microsoft support, you will no longer receive security updates that can help protect your PC from harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software that can steal your personal information. For more information go to Microsoft Support Lifecycle.

    2.) What is the Exact Type and version of Zone Alarm you have installed..

    Right click the ZA icon near the clock --> About --> Copy to Clipboard --> Paste in a reply here. Mind to remove the license key (if applicable).

    3.) do you have any other 3rd party Security programs installed that may Conflict with Zone Alarm Firewall?

    Thanks;

    That message has nothing to do with ZA, I would suggest you follow all steps (if applicable) as suggested here:

    Malware Clean-up Guidance

    and then also read here for a good setup of ZA:

    xyz was not detected. What I should do?

    and indeed as George Suggested, XP3 has not support and the protection of ZA will be limited if run on a vulnerable and untrusted OS. Longer you will keep XP less useful will be ZA in protecting you.

    Thanks,
