    Default LMS Cannot create a network connection <Its always best to Trial any new security prg

    Hi,


    Yesterday I purchased a copied of ZAP and installed it my new Win 8.1.1 Pro 64bit (ie. 8.1 with Update 1) PC.


    ZoneAlarm Pro version: 13.2.015.000
    ZoneAlarm license key: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Vsmon version: 13.2.15.0
    Driver version: 13.1.123.0


    Prior to installing ZAP, the ONLY LMS Event log entry written was: Info Event ID: 2000 Desc: Local Management Service started.

    However, since installing ZAP LMS now logs:

    approx. 20 secs after Info Event ID 2000 is written.


    I have filtered the Application Event log for all LMS log entries created since I did a clean install of Windows 8.1.1 and I can definitely tie Event 2001 with the install of ZAP.

    Hi!

    sorry all users here no ZA support. You will need to contact the official support at the link in my signature (once at the main ZA support web site look for the "contact us" icon). Its free for licensed users. Please explain in detail the problem. Mind to check the opening time as this way you will be served on the spot.

    Its important you direct youself to them directly as, in case you cannot resolve the issue, you will be able to ask for refund withing 30 days from purchase.

    Of course, if you managed to resolve the problem then please report it here as it may help other users with the same problem.

    If this warning happens during boot then it may be by design, ZA for security reasons blocks connections up to when its fully loaded.

    When ZA is installed and running there WILL be Event log warnings/errors that occur that did not prior to installing ZA.

    This is normal and ZoneAlarm and Development do not see this as an issue or a bug. The PC is working fine and these event log error have no bearing on ZA at all. This is normal and ZA is working as designed.

    Support will not be able to help or support you with the Event log issues put there by ZA.

    Its always best to Trial any new security software before purchasing to be sure it works on your PC and works to your own personal standards and what you personally expect.

    Wow, I find your response to be astonishing to say the least.

    So you are saying that Check Point Software will refuse to support their product and fix a problem that their product causes?

    Sorry to hear you were not happy by the response. As I suspected the warning is by design and has no impact whatsoever on your system or ZA.
    Hence it is not considered an issue contrary to what you could believe.
