I came across a similar post to this one, dating back to 2008, but it's only just come up for me.
I tried installing an update to Java from 6.33 but I got far too many messages from ZoneAlarm telling me that "FUI" was trying to access files and processes on my system. Not knowing what FUI was I clicked endlessly to deny access.
I'm running Windoze XP (yes, I know it's no longer supported by Micro Soft) SP3, with ZoneAlarm Free and McAfee VirusScan Enterprise.
The following are SOME of the messages I got from ZoneAlarm:
FIU us trying to communicate with ... by opening its process
C:\Program Files\McAfee\VirsuScan Enterprise\Mcshield.exe
C:\Program Files\McAfee\VirsuScan Enterprise\mcfeann.exe
C:\Program Files\DeviceVM\Browser Configuration Utility\BCU.exe
C:\Program files\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jusched.exe
C:\Program files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform\OSPPSVC.ex e
All I could find about FIU is that it is trying to access system and internet, and isn't a problem unless you're updating Java. I've never had this problem before and have update Java many times.
Any clues would be helpful.
